Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for Jorge Melgar Pickleball Coaching (www.jorgemelgar.com). It explains, in plain English, what we collect when you request a class, why we collect it, and what we do with it. This is a simple coaching business website — not a medical, financial, or otherwise regulated services platform.
What we collect
When you submit the booking request form, we collect: /book
- Name
- Email (optional)
- Phone / WhatsApp number
- Preferred contact method
- Requested coaching service
- Preferred venue
- Preferred days and time windows
- Player level
- Number of players
- Goals or notes (optional)
- Selected language (English or Spanish)
- Technical data: user agent and referrer URL
- A hashed value derived from your IP address (used only for abuse diagnostics — the raw IP is not stored)
Why we collect it
- Responding to your class request
- Coordinating scheduling, venue, and payment
- Providing the coaching service you requested
- Improving day-to-day operations and preventing abuse of the booking form
How your information is used
Jorge may contact you by WhatsApp, phone, or email about your booking request, using the contact method you selected. Your information is used only for coaching-related follow-up.
We do not send marketing newsletters or promotional emails as part of this booking flow.
Where it is stored
Booking requests are stored in a database hosted on Supabase (supabase.com). Access is restricted to Jorge.
Notification and confirmation emails may be sent through Resend (resend.com). Resend processes the email content needed to deliver the message; it does not receive your other booking-request fields.
The website is hosted on Vercel (vercel.com).
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics may be used to collect anonymous, aggregated traffic data (page views, country, referrer). No personal data and no cookies are used.
Vercel Speed Insights may be used to measure page-load performance, also anonymously.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Your data is only shared with the service providers needed to operate the website and the booking request system (Supabase for storage, Resend for email delivery, Vercel for hosting and analytics).
Data deletion
You can request deletion of your information at any time by contacting Jorge — see the contact options below. We'll remove your booking request from the database on request.
Cookies
This website does not set marketing or analytics cookies. The referrer URL of the page you were on before submitting the form is recorded once at submit time to understand which marketing channels are working — that's all.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the booking form after a change means you accept the updated policy.
